Ten Class AA Girls Squads With The Biggest Potential

Behind its superstars Anna Fenske and Lauren Peterson, the Farmington squad has been quietly growing in strength. After not qualifying in 2016, they finished 6th at State last year, and just as impressive, pulled off a strong 7th at Nike Heartland Regionals. With their top two returning single-digit scores and the rest of their top five under 19:30, Farmington could be a force to contend with this season. A huge asset to them is number three runner Josie Laube, who's knocking on the door of a sub-19 5K, and a breakout from any one of their runners could catapult them into podium contention. Watch for them in larger races like Roy Griak, where Fenske and Peterson's low scores will be a huge asset.
