Ten Class AA Girls Squads With The Biggest Potential

Last year, the Forest Lake girls were champions in the Suburban East Conference and in Section 7AA to very solidly to qualify for State. A repeat of that success seems likely again in 2018 as they return with a strong trio under 19 minutes. Another young team, only one of their top seven returners this year is older than a sophomore - last year's frontrunner and experienced competitor Regan Duffy, who has four State cross country races under her belt. With two incoming 8th graders, three freshmen, and one sophomore comprising the rest of their squad, this core of runners will no doubt be a force to reckon with for many years to come.
