Ten Class A Girls Squads Who Believe 2018 Is Their Year

Like roughly half the teams discussed in this countdown, Eden Valley-Watkins will be returning their entire team after finishing 12th in 2017. Olivia Kuechle, her sister Cailyn, Libby Yozamp, and Zya Lueders comprise Eden Valley-Watkins' four-headed monster. This quartet does not completely counter some of the other top lowstick runners from rival teams, and without a greater presence up front, Eden Valley-Watkins won't be able to contend against some of the top tier teams in Class A. That being said, one of this team's greatest advantages is their tight pack, as their 47-second 1-5 split from last season's PR's is the best on this list, and their 61-second spread at State was the third-best of the day. And because the Kuechles, Yozamp, and Lueders could each feasibly be the top runner depending on the day, there is less pressure on each of their front runners. If the fourth and fifth runners close the gap even tighter, this team could surprise at State.
