BOYS TEAM CHAMP: MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Jakub Baatrup-Sabo, Minneapolis Southwest, 17:13.1

RECAP: Washburn took the Minneapolis City title with all seven athletes in the top 11 overall, led by third place senior Alex Bion. Southwest senior Jakub Baatrup-Sabo was the individual city champ in 17:13.1 followed by teammate, eighth grader Sam Scott. Southwest sophomore Ruben Margolis gave SW three in the top four but Washburn junior Sharmarke Ismael was fifth followed by a run of four more Millers to give their team the title.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: WASHBURN |  INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Alison Bode, Southwest, 20:46.3

RECAP: Washburn completed the city conference sweep with their top five in the top ten overall led by runner-up Chloe Garcia-Grafi. Southwest junior Alison Bode earned the city conference title in 20:46.3. South senior Jocelyn Ferguson was third followed by Southwest sophomore Isabel Wyatt and Washburn freshman Olivia Bergin rounding out the top five.

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: EAST GRAND FORKS | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Tyson Mahar, EGF, 16:57.0

RECAP: East Grand Forks cruised to the team title by sweeping the top three spots led by junior Tyson Mahar winning the individual league title. Using the strength of their top three, EGF registered an 18:01 average time. Senior Cole Nowacki and sophomore Jonathan Krueger were second and third. Fisher senior Hayden Reitmeier was fourth followed by Bagley junior Boysen Olson in fifth.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: EAST GRAND FORKS | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Lelia Johnson, Roseau, 20:45.3

RECAP: East Grand Forks completed the varsity conference title sweep as their girls team put five in the top nine in winning the meet. Roseau eighth grader Lelia Johnson was the individual champ in 20:45.3. Warroad junior Eliana Bleess was second ahead of EGF junior Marin Garrett and freshman Lydia Floden in third and fourth. Bagley junior Jenna Manecke was fifth.

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: PERHAM  |  INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Jacob Bright, West Central Area, 16:19.4

RECAP: Perham edged West Central Area in a meeting between two of the best in class A. West Central senior Jacob Bright took the individual win in 16:19.4 but was followed by three Yellowjackets in consecutive order and that proved the difference for Perham. Sophomore Jacob McCleary and seniors Brandon O'Hara and Bailey Evenson went 2-3-4 ahead of West Central senior Jack Van Kempen in the top five. Perham averaged a 17:05 over a 41 second split that bettered WCA's average of 17:12 over 92 second split.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: PERHAM | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Aspen Rohde, Perham, 20:19.2

RECAP: Perham was one spot shy of a perfect score in winning the conference championship on Tuesday night. Eighth grader Aspen Rohde continued her breakout year, winning the conference title individually followed by teammates freshmen Quincy Anderson, Mya Morris, Liz Birkeland in the top four. Hawley sophomore Lily Peterson was fifth overall. Perham averaged a 20:39 over a 50 second split with a slim 19 point team score.
