BOYS TEAM CHAMP: CHANHASSEN | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Nick Scheller, Chanhassen, 15:49.9

RECAP: Chanhassen took home the West Metro title with a 1-2 punch up front led by senior class AA no. 3 ranked Nick Scheller winning the individual title followed by senior teammate Zach Long running second. Benilde-Saint Margaret senior Peter Lynch was third followed by Bloomington Jefferson senior Timothy Lueth in fourth. Saint Louis Park senior Nebyu Bekele rounded out the top five finishers. 


GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON  | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Megan Lee, Bloomington Jefferson, 19:27.2

RECAP: Bloomington Jefferson took the Metro West title with all five scorers inside the top 13, led by individual champ freshman Megan Lee. Lee pulled away from runner-up Saint Louis Park eighth grader Jersey Miller midway through the race for the win. Jefferson senior Megan Narveson ran third, a key element in the Jaguar's nine point win over second place SLP. Chanhassen eighth grader Jennifer Pierson was fourth followed by SLP sophomore Fredonia Zeigle in fifth.

Minnesota River Conference Championships

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: JORDAN | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Drew Hastings, Belle Plaine, 16:12.9

RECAP: Jordan took home the Minnesota River title with three runners in the top ten and all seven in the top 25. Belle Plaine senior Drew Hastings took home the individual title in career PR of 16:12. Tri-City senior Austin Antony was second followed by Jordan senior Symon Keiser in third. Freshman Emmett Gerres was fourth for Belle Plaine with Lester Prairie senior Evan Lee running fifth.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: JORDAN | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Addison Hoof, Lester Prairie, 18:57.3

RECAP: Jordan claimed a narrow six point conference title win over Belle Plaine in the team competition. Individually, Lester Prairie seventh grader class A no. 8 Addison Hoof continued her late season emergence winning the conference title in just under 19 minutes. Jordan's strong team performance was led by freshmen Basia Babcock and Kendra Krueger going 2-3. Belle Plaine senior McKenna Herrmann was fourth followed by Lester Prairie eighth grader Jessa Heimerl. Jordan took the win over Belle Plaine despite having a larger team split by over a minute but placed four runners in the top ten keeping their score too low to be caught in the end.

Mississippi 8 Conference Championship

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: PRINCETON | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Ryan Young, Princeton, 17:13.3

RECAP: Princeton claimed the Mississippi 8 title with three in the top six and a 17:45 average time, led by individual champ senior Ryan Young. Big Lake eighth grader Owen Layton was second followed by Princeton freshman Adam Young in third, an important part of Princeton's eight point margin of victory. Becker junior Lukas Karel was fourth followed by Cambridge-Isanti senior Henry Abraham finishing the top five.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: BECKER | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Gabriella Witschen, Monticello, 19:32.7

RECAP: Becker took the team title in a narrow six point win over Monticello. They did so with a 50 second split that allowed them to overcome Monticello's junior Gabriella Witschen winning the individual race. Princeton senior Lexi Duscher was second followed by Becker senior Lexi Dehmer. Monticello sophomore Grace Smith was fourth followed by Princeton freshman Julia Daubner running fifth.

Park Region Conference Championships

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: WADENA-DEER CREEK | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Bereket Loer, Wadena-Deer Creek, 17:00.7

RECAP: Wadena-Deer Creek ran tot he team championship with three of the top five finishers, led by individual champ senior Bereket Loer. Parkers Prairie junior Jonathan Suchy was second followed Wadena-Deer Creek junor Nathaniel Bervig. Ottertail Central senior Cody Dolezal and W-DC senior Lucas Hinojos rounded out the top five individuals. 

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: WADENA-DEER CREEK | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Kira Sweeney, Wadena-Deer Creek, 18:54.1

RECAP: Wadena-Deer Creek claimed a tight one point victory over second place United North Central in the team competiton. The key came in MNXCCAA no. 10 ranked junior Kira Sweeney taking the individual title to make up for UNC putting both displacing runners in front of their fifth scorer. UNC seventh grader Anjalie Aho ran second a full minute back of first place but nearly 30 seconds ahead of Ottertail Central junior Katie George in third. New York Mills seventh grader Jada Goeson was fourth followed by W-DC freshman Ally Pavek in fifth.

The Big South Conference Meet

SM SCHOOL BOYS TEAM CHAMP: SAINT JAMES AREA | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Seth Pierson, St James Area, 16:12.5

RECAP: Class A no. 3 ranked St James Area was impressive in winning the small school division of the Big South. The Saints ran all seven in the top 12 but more impressive was their 16:40 team average, a full 70 seconds better than the field. The Saints took the top three places including individual winner senior Seth Pierson in a PR of 16:12. Junior Caleb Rivera and senior Troy Parulski were second and third. Redwood Valley junior Jayson Peyerl was fourth followed by Blue Earth Area senior Grant Strukel

SM SCHOOL GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: LUVERNE | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Tenley Nelson, Luverne, 18:17.3

RECAP: Class A no. 4 ranked Luverne powered to the Big South small school title with four in the top seven overall, led by the individual victory of no. 3 ranked sophomore Tenley Nelson. Redwood Valley eighth grader Maddie Lesage was runner-up. Luverne eighth grader Jenna Debates was third followed by St James Area senior Paola Acevedo in fourth. Windom Area junior Gracie Bucher was fifth.

LG SCHOOL BOYS TEAM CHAMP: WORTHINGTON | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Adam Koller, Worthington, 15:56.4

RECAP: Worthington took four of the top five places, including senior Adam Koller's individual victory in a new career PR of 15:56, to earn the Big South large school title. Marshall senior Zach Matzner was runner-up in a new PR of 16:05 just edging out third place Worthington senior Christian Lietz. Worthington junior Jordan Melendez and freshman Mikele Walu rounded out the top five individuals. Worthington took the victory with an outstanding 16:33 team average.

LG SCHOOL GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: MARSHALL | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Ella Dufault, Waseca, 18:01.9

RECAP: Class AA no. 7 ranked Waseca freshman Ella Dufault took the individual title in a new career PR of 18:01, the fourth best time in Minnesota this season. Marshall ran away with the team title with all five scorers in the top nine over a 57 second split with a 19:11 average. Senior Kate Bucher led Marshall with a runner-up finish. Class A no. 7 ranked Fairmont sophomore Laura Thompson was third, dipping under 19 minutes. Marshall sophomore Bellamy Sukalski ran fourth followed by Fairmont seventh grader Macy Hanson in fifth.

Three Rivers Conference Championships

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: LA CRESCENT-HOKAH | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Luke O'Hare, Lewiston-Altura, 17:06.8

RECAP: La Crescent-Hokah took the Three Rivers title by seven points over Lewiston-Altura but junior Luke O'Hare won the individual title for the Cardinals. The difference for La Crescent-Hokah game in their split being tighter allowing for a four point edge in the finals scoring position. The teams were just two seconds apart in team average. St Charles sophomore Andrew O'Hara was runner-up head of Plainview-Elgin-Millville senior Samson Hagen in third. LC-H seniors Jake Boudreau and Camdan Nolop rounded out the top five individuals.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: PLAINVIEW-ELGIN-MILLVILLE  | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Madilyn Simon, P-E-M, 19:47.1

RECAP: Led by the their top two running in the first two individual spots, P-E-M ran away with the team title. Sophomore Madilyn Simon won the race and was followed closely by freshman teammate Molly Kate Hagen just two seconds back as runner-up. Chatfield freshman Aletta Strande was third followed by Winona Cotter juniors Claire Ebertowski and Aubrey Williams in the top five. P-E-M ran three in the top ten and all five scorers finished in the top 14.

Tomahawk All Conference Meet

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: MINNESOTA VALLEY LUTHERAN | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Mitchell Buerkle, Springfield, 17:17.6

RECAP: Minnesota Valley Lutheran took the team title with five in the top 11. Springfield senior Mitchell Buerkle was the individual winner in 17:12. St Mary's-Sleepy Eye-New Ulm Cathedral junior Nate Fliszar ran second followed by teammate junior Josh Hagen in third. MVL juniors Dylan Birkholz and Mitchell Ulrich rounded out the top five.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: SPRINGFIELD | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Grace Feder, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, 20:07.0

RECAP: Springfield took the girls title with four in the top ten individuals. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop junior Grace Feder was the individual winner. SMSENUC sophomore Claire Fischer was runner-up. Senior Chloe Haven of Wabasso was third. Springfield Sophomore Lily McCone and MVL senior Abby Nelson rounded out the top five.

Tri-Metro Conference Championships

FULL TEAM RESULTS

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Jack Peschel, Academy of Holy Angels, 17:19.9

RECAP: St Anthony Village ran their top five in the top ten to win the Tri-Metro title. The Huskies used a 44 second split to average a 17:55 in their win. Holy Angels senior Jack Peschel beat DeLaSalle sophomore William Skelly at the line by less than a second. SAV senior James Frigstad was third followed by senior teammate Davin Dahl and freshman Alexander Bjork.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: VISITATION | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Margaret Dalseth, Visitation, 19:21.9

RECAP: Visitation put their top five in the top six on the way to a Tri-Metro title. Junior Margaret Dalseth was the individual winner for Visitation followed by SAV freshman Samantha Solboe who was runner-up. Visitation senior Sadie Grunau, freshman Ava Kirr and eighth grader Evelyn Hansen rounded out the top five. 

Valley Conference Championships

BOYS TEAM CHAMPS: MANKATO LOYOLA/CLEVELAND | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Mitch Johnstone, Mankato Loyola/Cleveland, 16:21.1

RECAP: Mankato Loyola/Cleveland took four of the top five spots on the way to the Valley title. Senior Mitch Johnstone led his team with the individual title in 16:21. Martin County West junior Jake Lewis was second. ML-C senior Jerrett Peterson was third followed by teammate junior Tyler Erickson and senior Brett Omtvedt

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: MARTIN COUNTY WEST | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Grace Moeller, Lake Crystal-Wellcome, 20:20.8

RECAP: Martin County West took the team title with five of the top seven finishers. Lake Crystal-Wellcome sophomore Grace Moeller was the individual champ. Martin County West junior Marissa Whitehead was individual runner-up. Mankato Loyola/Cleveland senior Ellie Nygren was third followed my Martin Co. West teammates eighth grader Katie Hartke and sophomore Caitlin Whitehead filling out the top five.

West Central Conference Meet

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: MELROSE | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Noah Stewart, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, 16:40.0

RECAP: Melrose took the Wes Central title with four in the top eight. Morris/Chokio-Alberta senior Noah Stewart took the individual win. Melrose was led by senior Nicholas Berscheit taking runner-up honors. Benson senior Will Magaard was third followed by Melrose junior Tyler Pohlmann. Montevideo senior Bryce Nelson rounded out the top five.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: MINNEWASKA AREA | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Kayla Meyer, Melrose, 20:35.0

RECAP: Minnewaska edged Morris/Chokio-Albert by just five points to win the team title. Melrose freshman Kayla Meyer took the individual title. Minnewaska used a 66 second split to win a tight race where just nine points separated first from third. MACA sophomore Meredith Carrington was individual runner-up. Sauk Centre senior Sophia Kluver was third head of Minnewaska junior Sydney Hagen. Melrose seventh grader Maria Hinnenkamp was fifth.

Wright County Conference East Championship

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: DELANO | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Adam Brandt, New Prague, 17:08.9

RECAP: Delano used a 53 second split to edge runner-up New Prague by a single point to win the Wright County East title. New Prague junior Adam Brandt was the individual champ. Orono sophomore Angelo Fiataruolo was runner-up. Delano was led by third place finisher, senior Jack Balsiger. New Prague sophomore Jacob Malecha was fourth followed by Hutchinson senior Ben Becker. New Prague had a better team average than Delano but lost crucial points in the final two positions. 

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: WACONIA | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Isabelle Schmitz, Hutchinson, 19:27.4

RECAP: Waconia took the team title with four in the top ten overall. Hutchinson eighth grader Isabelle Schmitz won the individual race in 19:27, nearly a minute ahead of runner-up, Waconia sophomore Addy Kaeding. Delano junior Grace Jostock and freshman Hailey Ness went third and fourth followed by New Prague freshman Kayla Lafaurie in fifth. 

Wright County Conference West Championships

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: ANNANDALE | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Nels Trandahl, Rockford, 16:46.8

RECAP: Annandale claimed a six point victory over Mound-Westonka for the Wright County West title. Rockford senior Nels Trandahl won the individual title. Litchfield senior Ben Ammermann was runner-up. Annandale was led by third place finisher, seventh grader Sal Wirth. Glencoe Silver Lake sophomore Connor Hallaway and Mound-Westonka junior Gregoire Laboulet rounded out the top five. Annandale had just a five second edge in split times and was only two seconds ahead in average time with their win coming down to an eight point difference in the final scoring position.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: ANNANDALE | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Laura Sunnarborg, Mound-Westonka, 19:41.8

RECAP: Annadale edged Rockford by just three points on the girls side to sweep the conference team titles. The teams were nearly identical in both average and split times with only two seconds dividing the teams in both categories. Mound-Westonka freshman Laura Sunnarborg won the individual title by over 40 seconds over runner-up freshman Keily Wheeler of Annanadale. Yet, Wheller's runner-up finish was a key factor in the team race as she bettered Rockford seventh grader Hailey Jackson by a tenth of a second and creating a definitive two point swing. Mound-Westonka senior Kate McGown was fourth followed by Glencoe Silver Lake sophomore Kendall Guerrero.

Bemidji XC Invitational

BOYS TEAM CHAMP: PERHAM | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Jacob McCleary, Perham, 16:16.8

RECAP: Perham claimed the team win in their final tune up before the MNXCCA no.1 ranked Yellowjackets compete for a section title next week. They used a 50 second split and 16:44 average to beat Bemidji by 10 points. Perham sophomore no. 6 ranked Jacob McCleary won the individual title over no. 9 ranked East Grand Forks junior Tyson Mahar who edged Bemidji senior Gage Mostad by less than a second. EGF senior Cole Nowacki was fourth followed by Perham senior Brandon O'Hara

GIRLS TEAM CHAMP: PERHAM | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Taylor Melton, Moorhead, 19:00.5

RECAP: Girls no. 1 Perham won the team competition with four in the top nine. Moorhead senior Taylor Melton won the individual title in 19:00, over 50 seconds ahead of second place Bemidji freshman Regan Dewitt. Perham freshman Mya Morris was third followed closely by EGF freshman Lydia Floden in fourth. Bemidji junior Grace Carlton rounded out the top five.

Proctor Lions Invitational

FULL MEET RESULTS

BOYS TEAM CHAMPS: CLOQUET | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Emmet Anderson, Staples-Motley, 16:00.1

RECAP: Cloquet took the team win at Proctor with five in the top 25 of the 19 team invitational. Class A no. 1 ranked Staples-Motley junior Emmet Anderson cruised to the win in 16:00 about 20 seconds ahead of teammate, senior and no. 3 ranked Hunter Klimek. Ely senior and no. 4 ranked Luke Olson was third ahead of Cloquet senior Jordan Allen in fourth. Duluth Denfeld junior Isaac Fink rounded out the top five. Class AA Cloquet held off a team challenge from class A no. 6 Staples-Motley, edging the Cardinals by five points.

GIRLS TEAM CHAMPS: STAPLES-MOTLEY | INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: Calia Chaney, Pequot Lakes, 19:13.7

RECAP: Class A no. 2 Staples-Motley took the team win at Proctor with three in the top ten and all five scorers inside the top 25 in a field of over 200. Pequot Lakes eighth grader and class A no. 6 ranked Calia Chaney won the individual race ahead of no. 4 ranked Staples-Motley eighth grader Kyanna Burton. Duluth Marshall School sophomore Keegan McAuliffe was third ahead of Pequot eighth grader Rian Zutter. Staples-Motley no. 2 runner and freshman Aften Robinson finished fifth overall. Pequot Lakes had an advantage over Staples-Motley through the first three scorers but lost over 20 points in the final scoring spot.
