RECAP: No. 9 Lake City ran three in the top ten and all five in the top 20 to win 1A with a 52 second split. Second place Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson was just eight seconds behind in team average, led by individual champ junior Luke O'Hare, but could not over come their 82 second split to earn the team win. La Crescent-Hokah, Pine Island and Plainview-Elgin-Millville each took a pair of individual qualifying spots.

RECAP: No. 3 ranked St. James Area showed their strength in winning 2A with 41 points and 16:41 average and all five scorers in the top 17. Second place no. 11 Mankato Loyola/Cleveland was led by individual champ senior Mitch Johnstone who claimed a ten second win over runner-up St James senior Seth Pierson. Tri-City United and Belle Plaine earned two individual qualifying spots.

RECAP: No. 4 Lac Qui Parle Valley dominated 3A winning with 30 points and four runners in the top 10 including the top three individuals. Runner-up Redwood Valley had a smaller split but simply did not have the fast times up front to hang with the winner. LQPV junior Ezekiel Sather took the individual win in 16:36. Seven different 3A teams will send individual qualifiers to state.

RECAP: No. 5 Nova Classical Academy earned team victory on the strength of a good front runner and a tight pack a few seconds back. The winner used a 32 second split and ran six athletes between 11th and 19th place, averaging a 17:09 in their top five. Runner-up MInnehaha was 15 seconds back in average but the difference in times added too many points on the team score to knock off Nova. Math & Science senior Harris Anderson won the section title, his sixth meet victory of the season. Seven schools were represented by individual state qualifiers from 4A.

RECAP: Just 23 points separated 5A winner Saint Cloud Cathedral from fourth place in a tight team race. No. 12 Heritage Christian finished nine points back in second, 11 points in front of third place Mora who was only three points better than fourth place Northwest Homeschool. Heritage Christian posted a slightly better team average but Cathedral's split was 26 seconds better and showed up as the difference in final scores. Rockford senior Nels Trandahl won the 5A individual title in a new career PR 16:29. Northwest and Annandale each earned a pair of individual state meet qualifications.

INDIVIDUAL STATE QUALIFIERS: 3. Noah Stewart, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta; 7. Christopher Borash, Royalton; 8. Carter Grove, Osakis; 9. Ben Ammermann, Litchfield; 11. Grant Mayers, Albany; 13. Johnathan Suchy, Parkers Prairie; 15. Ty Bisek, New London-Spicer; 16. Ezekial Woods, Holdingford
RECAP: No. 2 West Central bettered no. 6 Staples-Motley in a highly anticipated match-up of state title contenders in 6A. West Central averaged a 16:52 with their top five in the top 12 in their section victory. Staples-Motley, second by 20 points was 90 points ahead of third place Litchfield. Class A no. 1 S-M junior Emmet Anderson won the individual race by 13 seconds over runner-up WCA senior no. 2 ranked Jacob Bright. Eight different schools earned individual qualifying spots in a wide open race behind the top two teams.

INDIVIDUAL STATE QUALIFIERS: 2. Cameron Stocke, Virginia; 4. Jeffrey Kayfes, Mountain Iron-Buhl; 5. Isaac Swanson, North Shore; 6. Noah Foster, Cromwell-Wright; 7. Brenden Seipke, North Shore; 9. Ethan Johnson, Pequot Lakes; 10. Noah Smith, North Shore; 11. Tucker Ringhand, Crosby-Ironton
RECAP: No. 7 Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin nipped no. 9 Ely for the 7A title by just three points. The difference for the Titans was upfront where junior no. 4 ranked Geno Uhrbom won the individual title by 37 seconds over runner-up no. 10 ranked Virginia freshman Cameron Stocke. Uhrbom's 15:36 is the fourth best result in class A and fifth overall across the state this year. Ely placed two in the top ten while GNK had just Uhrbom in single digit scoring but that low number up front kept the Titans in front when Ely posted a much larger number in the fifth spot. Third place North Shore Coop will send three individuals to the state meet.

INDIVIDUAL STATE QUALIFIERS: 9. Jacob Davis, Thief River Falls; 10. Hayden Reitmeier, Fisher; 11. Bereket Loer, Wadena-Deer Creek; 12. David Johnson, Pelican Rapids; 14. Jack McNamee, Nevis; 15. Evan Pohl, Nevis; 17. Lucas Hinojos, Wadena-Deer Creek; 18. Nathan Johannsen, Frazee
RECAP: The Yellowjacket dominance of 8A continued as Perham put their top five in the top eight with a 16:43 average. East Grand Forks put three in the top ten in a solid performance that earned them a state meet ticket. Perham senior Brandon O'Hara defended his section title with a 14 second win over sophomore teammate Jakob McCleary. Perham and EGF took all of the first eight individual finishing spots making ninth the first individual state qualifier, the lowest of any section in class A.
