Huge Day Of Racing Consists Of Twenty Meets

PREVIEW

Location: Vintage Gold Gourse, Staples

Weather: High 30s, 70% chance of rain

BOYS

Virtual Meet Projection: Staples-Motley (37), Detroit Lakes (43), Wadena- Deer Creek (76)

Top Individuals: Emmet Anderson (Staples-Motley, 15:45), Hunter Klimek (Staples-Motley, 16:21), Tanner Olson (Detroit Lakes, 16:40), Lucas Hinojos (Wadena- Deer Creek, 16:52)

The Skinny: Detroit Lakes will look to beat the projection this year and repeat as conference champions, while Staples-Motley will look to prove the projection right and get revenge for their second-place finish last year. On the individual side, the top three projected finishers happen to be the same top three from last year's meet. The top projected finisher, Emmet Anderson, is no stranger to winning meets having won nine last year and five this year, with a PR last weeks last in Perham he looks to continue his excellence.

GIRLS

Virtual Meet Projection: Staples-Motley (27), Pequot Lakes (40), Wadena-Deer Creek (82)

Top Individuals: Kira Sweeney (Staples-Motley, 19:24), Kyanna Burton (Staples-Motley, 19:44), Calia Chaney (Pequot Lakes, 19:58), Rian Zutter ( Pequot Lakes, 20:08)

The Skinny: In a shocker last year Staples-Motley had the top three finisher and still finished in third place. That can happen when you next finishers come in 34th & 35th, and the top four spots are only separated by five points. Don't expect that to happen this year as Staples-Motley will look to get their top five all in the top ten finishers and win handily. On the individual side look for Kira Sweeney who just PR'd at Perham to repeat as conference champ.
