Mankato East Invite (Postponed to 10/11)

Location: Mankato East High School, Mankato

Weather: 40 degrees, some clouds

BOYS

Virtual Meet Projection: Mankato East (55), Owatonna (70), Benilde-Saint Margaret (74)

Top Individuals: Jett Oachs (Mankato East, 16:07), Colden Longley (Bloomington Jefferson, 16:27), Aidan Luebke (Benilde-Saint Margaret, 16:44), Preston Meier (Owatonna, 16:45), Peter Lynch (Benilde-Saint Margaret, 16:51)

The Skinny: Jett Oachs is the top runner in the field with his personal best of 16:07 and three season wins. Near behind him is Colden Lougley who was only four seconds behind him at the Roy Griak Invitational. With the win on the line this time, the two will probably finish just as close at today's race. Oachs will lead his team from Mankato East and they run for the win. They are projected to finish ahead of Owatonna and Benilde-Saint Margaret who are the other two teams in contention.

GIRLS

Virtual Meet Projection: Waseca (94), Saint Louis Park (99), Waconia (106), Visitation (108)

Top Individuals: Ella Dufault (Waseca, 18:31), Margaret Dalseth (Visitation, 18:43), Josephine Mosby (Saint Louis Park, 18:55), Kaleesa Houston (Waconia, 19:05), Carsyn Brady (Owatonna, 19:06)

The Skinny: Waconia, Waseca, and Saint Louis Park are sitting just outside the top twelve rankings in Class AA, with honorable mention positions. It will be a very good race between the three schools as they are all trying to prove themselves as top teams as they head into the later stages of the season. Ella Dufault, Josephine Mosby and Margaret Dalseth will make it a really good individual race as well. Mosby is ranked twelfth in Class AA with Dufault and Dalseth following behind her, being noted in the honorable mention rankings. Mosby won the Roy Griak Invitational maroon race with a 19:09 and then went on to set a personal best at the Swain Invitational with a 18:55. The three have not raced each other yet this season so it will be a very good test to see where they are all at.
