Huge Day Of Racing Consists Of Twenty Meets

PREVIEW

USC No Frills Invite (Postponed to 10/11)

Location: Oakview Golf Course, Freeborn

Weather: Low 40s, cloudy

Top Individuals: Hugo Ruiz (Tri-City United, 16:37), Jake Boudreau (La Crescent-Hokah, 17:33), Hunter Rutt (Tri-City United, 17:38), Thomas Lechnir (La Crescent-Hokah 17:43), Austin Antony (Tri-City United, 17:45), Camdan Nolop (La Crescent-Hokah, 17:48), Dane Mccormick (La Crescent-Hokah, 17:52), Dante Juberian (Tri-City United, 17:59)

The Skinny: La Crescent-Hokah and Tri-City United will be locked in an even fight for the win. With each of the top eleven runners in the virtual meet attending one of these schools, it should essentially play out like a dual meet. Hugo Ruiz is in a class above the rest of the field, and should be guaranteed the top spot. The only question is by how much, as his season best is nearly a minute better than anyone else in the field. Behind him, it will be some sort of mix of Tri-City United and La Crescent-Hokah runners in a big pack, as they each have a handful of runners between 17:30 and 18:00. Tri-City's fifth runner will likely be the difference maker, as Tri-City's top four project to be two points better than La Crescent-Hokah's top four.

Top Individuals: Addison Peed (WEM/JWP, 20:10), Lauran Dimler (WEM/JWP, 20:36), Trystan Servantez (United South Central, 21:13), Jaylee Hanvelt (Tri-City United, 21:32), Lydia Rosendahl (La Crescent-Hokah, 21:34), Katy Steffes (La Crescent-Hokah, 21:35)

The Skinny: Led by the duo of Addison Peed and Lauran Dimler, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown should cruise to the meet title. La Crescent-Hokah and Tri-City United will battle for 2nd, with La Crescent-Hokah's advantage of depth (four in front of Tri-City United's third runner) giving them the slight advantage in the virtual meet. With Peed and Dimler being the only two girls under 21:00 this season, they should be expected to take the top spots fairly easily. Four girls have broken 22:00, and they should create a decently sized chase pack behind the two frontrunners. Trystan Servantez will probably be favored for 3rd, as her season best is about 20 seconds faster than the other three in that group.
