Huge Day Of Racing Consists Of Twenty Meets

PREVIEW

Location: Zumbrota Golf Course, Zumbrota

Weather: Low 50's, will rain

BOYS

Virtual Meet Projection: Kasson-Mantorville/Triton (16), Byron (42)

Top Individuals: Isaac Threinen (KM, 16:17), Jace Minelli (KM, 17:23), George Gustafson (KM, 17:25), Reid Spreiter (KM, 17:32), Aric Jorgensen (Byron, 17:37)

The Skinny: Kasson-Mantorville/Triton has a chance to perfect-score their home meet with five of the top six runners in the field, all of whom have run 17:47 or better this season. Byron and Red Wing's JV runners are the only ones realistically standing in the way of that happening. However, it's hard to not see Isaac Threinen take the win, with over a minute advantage over his teammate as the fastest runner in the field. A win would be just the second of Threinen's career.

GIRLS

Virtual Meet Projection: Kasson-Mantorville/Triton (25), Byron (31)

Top Individuals: Tiana Wiebke (KM, 19:54), Hannah Higgins (Byron, 20:51), Michaela Hamilton (Byron, 20:54), Adisen Skov (KM, 21:01), Sophie Gossard (KM, 21:46)

The Skinny: Again, with Red Wing's varsity runners sitting this meet out, Kasson-Mantorville/Triton is the meet's favorite, but not nearly as big a favorite as the boys. In fact, just six points separate them and Bryon in the virtual meet, so a few crucial switches in place could have a wholly new result. That said, KM has far superior depth, so they could have a bit more cushion even if some runners have off days. Tiana Wiebke could pick up her first win of he career too, as she has the best time in the field by nearly a full minute.
